Yvonne Mejia-Peña

Yvonne Mejia Peña has over 15 years of experience working in the energy industry focusing on a variety of large-scale utility initiatives and major projects including implementing risk management best practices, wildfire safety mitigation plans, managing regulatory affairs and customer programs, developing corporate governance, financial controls and compliance oversight frameworks enterprise-wide. Over the course of her career, she has led critical regulatory activities in key areas such as environmental reviews for infrastructure projects, safety, compliance, financial recovery, sustainability, and technology integration initiatives.
Yvonne served as a Planning & Preservation Commissioner in the City of San Fernando for over a decade and was previously an Education Commissioner for the City of San Fernando. She is also a part of the Latino Community Foundation’s Los Angeles Giving Circle. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Human Resources Management from Georgetown University.
Her commitment to the community and expertise in developing long-standing governance structures will support the strategic advancement of the Foundation.
