GUIDED BY OUR FAMILY BASED VALUES AND THE IDEA OF GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, THE MISSION OF THE ANDRÉS Y MARÍA CÁRDENAS FAMILY FOUNDATION IS TO CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE NORTHEAST SAN FERNANDO VALLEY BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO DESERVING AND AMBITIOUS STUDENTS.
The foundation firmly believes that every student should pursue their dreams of a collegiate or vocational school experience. Each year the board awards scholarships to high school and college students who are attending, or have attended, one of our ten partner schools. The AMCFF has established its four step formula for success: Identify Promise, Invest in Education, Provide Family Support and Connection to a Network. It seeks to honor not only high achieving students, but also students who embody the qualities of hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to community. Since its inception, AMCFF has raised $1.2 million dollars and awarded over 800 scholarships. Today, the Andrés and María Cárdenas Family Foundation continues to aggressively pursue scholarship dollars for any student from the San Fernando Valley seeking educational attainment.
